DDM 1000

The DDM 1000 is conceived for special precise measuring of temperatures in calibrating and research laboratories.
Measuring uncertainties are adjusted to the uncertainties of fix point cells,
in order to enable precise fix point calibrations.

For comparing calibrations the device offers the possibility to use
simultaneously Pt25- and Pt100 probes.
Furthermore you have the possibility of highest resolutions in the range
of 0.02 mK, demanded in physical/chemical laboratories.

Operating mode:
The DDM 1000 uses AC with rectangular time scale in order to avoid
certain parasitical temperature tensions.

Because of it’s special analog/digital converter it needs no equalizing procedure and therefore potential oscillations or measuring values.

In order to avoid unacceptable long swing-in times when using analog filters consequently such kind of elements were not used. Instead, on demand, a non-linear, digital filter with fixable programming time can be activated.

• Probe according to ITS90 and EN 60751
• Special, protected measuring procedure
• Quick measuring: up to 8/s
• Excellent long-term stability
• Ignorable probe warm up
• No influence of parasitical temperature tensions
• Up to 81 multiplexers, each one programmable with independent parameters
• 4-wire technology by Lemo plugs
• Highly interference-proof
• PC-software and serial interface as standard
• Ergonomic design and easy operation
• Accuracy: 0.10 mK
• Resolution: 0.02 mK
• Measuring range: -200°C up to +1200°C
• PT100/Pt25/Pt10-probes simultaneously

For accuracy in mK-range as well inferior measuring current of less than 1 mA may cause significant warm-up of probes.
These warm-ups can be determined by halving
the loss performance at resistance probe.

As well without external resistance-normals the DDM 1000 achieves measuring uncertainties of 5 mK, and so after years still precise temperature measuring is possible.

For the achievement of highest precision values the user can enter the value of external resistancenormals.
Specifications can be kept by using only one single resistance probe of approx. 100 ohm.
The usage of a special system for automatic self-adjustment of measuring device assures that the excellent linearity is kept.
By this mode effects of aging can be avoided.

Thanks to it’s easy handling and robust construction, the DDM 1000 is most suitable for daily use. For example, electrostatic discharges up to 10 kV, often caused when touched at inputs by insufficient earthed operators, do not harm the device.
It is protected against transient net surcharges.
For the different demands of DDM 1000 we offer special designs.

The design HL is suited for Pt100- and Pt25-probes achieving measuring accuracy of up to 0.2 mK. Besides the above-mentioned Pt100-range the HRL design has a second measuring range for Pt100-probes offering resolutions up to 0.02 mK and accuracy up to 0.1 mK.
This range is especially suitable for highest precision fix point calibrations and for measuring in physical/chemical research, where the highest possible resolution is demanded.
For both designs 81 channels are available.

Both ranges (Pt25 and Pt100 respectively standard range and high resolution range) can be adjusted for different resistance-normals.
By this, especially the accuracy at water triple point can improved.
Base of the following data is the availability of only one single resistance-normal:

Design DDM 1000HL
(with self-adjustment and equalization to external resistance-normals)
Accuracy: Pt100-probe: 0°C 0.2 mK
-100°C up to +430°C 0.5 mK
Pt25-probe: -100°C up to +430°c 0.5 mK, other 1 mK
Pt10-probe: 2.5 mK
Measuring current: approx. 0.5 mA switched DC (approx. 1 mA with Pt25 and Pt10)

Design DDM 1000HRL
(with self-adjustment and equalization to external resistance-normal)
Standard range: Pt100-probe:
Data are same as for design HL (Pt10 and Pt25 in high resolution range)
High resolution range:
Measuring range: Pt100: -220°C up to + 250°C
Pt10 and Pt25: .100°C up to +1200°C
Resolution: Pt100: - 0°C 0.02 mK, other 0.05 mK
Pt10 and Pt25 0.10 mK

By direct disturbing of high frequency devices
(for example: mobile phones) at measuring
inputs errors of 10 mK may occur.

The accuracy data do not contain errors of externalreference-normals and probes
