4-Channel Data Logger

20.- Englisch > News

The PT-104 is a 4-channel temperature measuring data logger.
It offers the ultimate in resolution (0.001 °C) and accuracy (0.01 °C).
Along with temperature it can also be used to measure resistance and voltage

* Measures temperature, resistance and voltage
* High resolution and accuracy
* No power supply required
* RS232 and USB interface
* For use with PT100 and PT1000 sensors

Accuracy and Resolution

Although accurate temperature sensors are widely available, it has been difficult to take advantage of them due to errors caused by the measuring device. The PT104 however, is inherently accurate due to its novel design. Rather than relying on voltage references (which tend to be temperature sensitive) it uses ‘reference’ resistors which are extremely stable (low temperature co-efficient and drift). The exact value of each resistor is stored in an EEPROM to provide the ultimate in accuracy (yearly re-calibration is recommended). To achieve the 0.001 °C resolution a highly-advanced ADC is used that can resolve to better than 1 part in 16 million.

Another advantage of USB is the simultaneous interpretation of up to 20 Pt-104-modules on a PC.
This suited the Pt-104 for the extensive body temperature measuring systems with many channels.  Regarding the cost per channel are Pt-104-based systems are significantly cheaper than other systems of comparable size.

During the short duration of the transformation Pt-104 up to ten temperature measurements per second allows, ensures its high resolution of 20 bits that even slightest changes in temperature recorded.

With the included software Pt-104 recorder, it is possible to have several connected via USB
Pt-104-configure modules, which hints at a value of between one tenth of a second to several hours and the maximum number of measurements to define.

The recorded data can be in the software delay using tables and charts are available.
To display historical data from previous measurements serves as the included software Pt-104 player.
