ATP 4200 Precision temperature measuring device for laboratory and quality assurance

• Uncertainty: 10 mK
• Resolution: 1 mK
• Range: -200°C up to +962°C
• Entering of parameters by digital interface
• Controlled by PC
• Measuring current only approx. 0.5 mA (DC)
• 2 measuring channels (81 with multiplexers)
• excellent long-term stability

The ATP 4200 is designed for precise temperature measurements as demanded in laboratory use

and quality assurance (ISO 9000 etc.).

We developed a new special measuring proceeding for this device.
Usually temperature probes are evaluated based on AC or DC measuring process.

The AC measuring process has the advantage of being nearly insensible for disturbing temperature tension.
But using this proceeding measuring errors can occur because of parasitical capacities and induction.

The DC measuring procedures offer the advantage of a certain insensibility against parasitical capacities and induction and give the opportunity to change the measuring probe nearly without any problems.

These proceedings may cause incorrect measuring values because of disturbing temperature tension.

For measuring of probe resistance, using the ATP 4200, a switched DC is fixed and the means of that developed tension is measured.

By comparing with in measuring device built-in high precision reference
resistance unit an exact measuring of probe resistance is guaranteed.

By this mode the ATP 4200 offers both, the advantages of AC and DC procedure, avoiding the respective disadvantages.

Converting of resistance measuring value into temperature measuring value is effected by probe specific calibration tables built-in into the measuring unit.

The user has not to enter for another time the calibration data by built-in keyboard when changing the probe. As in measuring device the data of several probes can be stored, in many cases you have the possibility to assign the corresponding data to the channel where a new probe has been connected.

In case the calibration data of a newly connected probe are not yet not stored on measuring device the user is able to create the data at a PC with software included in the scope of supply.
The complete entering and management of calibration tables is done by PC. Using this software, on demand, new calibration data can be loaded from PC into ATP4200.
